Greetings,

Just wanna low maintenance driverless USB to USB link between my laptop and my desktop.

Can anyone recommend one?

Thanks,

Rakewell

Perhaps knowing why you want to hook them together would be usefull to know.
I assume they are not on a network, as that would be the easiest way.
But how about just a network crossover cable.

Billb2,

Thanks for your response, but perhaps I am not making myself clear.

I don't want a crossover cable, I want a driverless USB to USB cable. Usually these devices have a small flashdrive with a proprietary program which acts as a liaison between two systems (ie explorer) for Data transfer. In other words, you plug one USB end into one system, and the other end into another system (also via USB). Typically you would then install an app that would allow drag and drop file transfer (both systems would show up as drive letters in the other system).

And, incidentally, it is MUCH easier than a network for file transfer!

Make sense?

There are a few of these out there, and I just wanted someone who has tried them to recommend a particular brand.

Cheers,

Rakewell
