Great idea. This must be his set.

"INTEX SUB WOOFER SYSTEM - 2000 WATTS PMPO

Approximately US $24.00"

Yes, yes that's exactly the set I have got Intex Sub-Woofer 2000W PMPO. BTW, it doesn't look as ugly as the image at eBay reflects!!

Thanks everyone for your inputs

Is your system you have now 2.1 or 5.1? You soundcard (or integrated sound) may or may not support multichannel audio. How many jacks are around where you plug in your speakers? In general: Pink is mic, Blue is line-in, Green is for 2.1 speakers, Black is used too in 4.1 speakers, and yellow is also used for 5.1 speakers.

There are 3 jacks where the speaker is plugged - pink, green & blue. The speaker is plugged in the green one; so it's a 2.1 speaker but what do 2.1, 4.1 & 5.1 mean? Do they mean that the unit has 2, 4 & 5 satellite speakers accompanying the sub-woofer respectively?

Thanks,

Yes, the first number is the satellites and the .1 is subwoofer.

If you only have a green blue and pink jack, unless they can be reassigned then you're stuck with 2.1 speakers.

Do you want some suggestions on ones that would be much louder than the ones you have now?
