Pc running at high temps

Hey im new yay, neways my CPU is running at extreme high temps.. at idle its 63C and full load 75c+. When it gets about 69c-75c it reboots or freezes. Any ideas on how to cool this CPU down cheaply. im running a AMD ATHLON 3200+,512mb ram,64mb vid card,Asus mobo. i bought a cpu cooler heatsink, the company is evercool, to replace the stock heatsink, and my temps are no different. please help me some how lol. i cant play games during the day cuz they freeze do to overheat or pc just reboots.

Hows the case temps? Where are your case fans located? And I think he has probably seated it properly because even my old amd xp 3000+ ran at extremely high temps even with a new hsf.
 
i don't know the case temps. I just reseted my CMOS and reseated the battery. bios is updated and i loaded the defaults. CPU is still 62c+ right now. i got one fan at the bottom of the case inside blowing out. and another on the back of the case blowing out aswell. PSU has 2 fans.
 
Sounds to me as if you reversed the bottom fan. Where does fresh air enter the case? Your air flow sounds poor. If you have a third fresh air intake, then how neatly did you tuck away the drive and power cables? I had one PC that dropped at least 5 degrees worth when I bundled the power supply cables more tightly and re-routed that bundle just a couple of inches over and out of the air flow toward the top of the cpu hsf.

Ok i have amd athlon 64 3500+ and msi k8n neo2 platinium mobo. Here is my problem:

So before I installed my XP-90c cooling on my amd 64 3500+ my idle temp was 57-62'C ( IT WAS ON THE STOCK HEATSINK MY CPU CAME WITH )

I istaled my XP-90C with artic silver 5 and Antec 92mm Tornado fan and my temperature is STILL AT 56-59'C !
( HSF seated correctly, cmos reseted and 1.80 bios )



btw- fan is operating at 4700-4900 RPM

PS. MY CPU is at default speed 2.2ghz NO OC

Please help me!

try tuching it and feeling if its actually as hot as you believe, if not its a lying mobo probe. also you can reseat your heatsink
 
Check your spectrum spread in the Bios. Make sure it is disabled.

Also, make sure you proper circulation in your case. How many fans you have? Which way is the air going?
 
the airflow is good,and i got about 2 fans blowing out of the case.. i think i know what the problem is. its summer and my room gets really hot really fast cuz i live in a hot place. during winter my pc was fine and it started doing this since it started to get hot out.
 
ha, personally i have about 6 fans, 2 front 2 back 1 side and pci fan card. What is spectrum spread ? I'm about to see if its disabled, what menu is it under? AAnd personally i already reseated my heatsink and did all this crap, nowthing works 🙁

I think you missed Kiwi's comments above....
You fans are not configured correctly. Rear fan should exhaust, lower/front should intake.
With both fans exhausting they are reducing effectivness of each other and creating hot spots.

Remember you want air to flow through your case.
