PC Remote?

Does anyone know of any remote controls that are out there for PC? I basically am wanting it to control my MP3s that I have on my computer through WinAmp or RealOne. Thanks.

Many TV cards come with one. In addition to the remote, you'll also need a program that takes input from the RC and acts on it. For Linux that's lirc, and girder should do it on Windows.

Yeah I don't really want to have to buy an all-in-one card to do that. I just want a basic remote to change volume and songs and stuff on my PC running WindowsXP.

Well, there are remote/reciever bundles out there, as well as standalone recievers, but I don't know where to get them.

Yeah I don't either. I can't seem to find them on google so that is why I am probing here.

Here's a link for the ATI Remote Wonder for $28 from Allstarshop

I bought mine from here a few weeks ago, it's great and you dont' have to have an ATI card to use it

dont want to threadjack, but i have a question like this. i have the winfast2000xp tv tuner card that came with an IR remote. i want to be able to control winamp, and hopefully turn my monitor off using the remote. i tried girder, but have no clue how to work it. are there any easier programs like this out there?

Logitech has a number of Remotes. I used to have one a few years back, until I went to WinXP, now I use a cordless trackball as a remote.
