My Pc restarts when it wants , and i dont know why...
It usualy happens when i click on something like close a window, or click on some option.
I've scanned for viruses , spyware etc --nothing , its clean
The system is not overheating , the proc is at 34c
The power supply is a 520watt ocz powerstream.
My spec:
AMD 3800
Asus a8nsli
6800gt
2x74 gig raptors
1x80gig hdd
1 gig of ram
7 case fans
and a creative audigy 2 zs plat pro
Nothing is overclocked.
So i dont think the power supply is over taxed.
As i said it happens very randomly , some times my pc just freezes then reboots by itself.
This happens at least once a day.
Just 30 minuts ago i was browsing the web , and when i closed the site window the pc rebooted. After the reboot all of my bookmarked pages were gone!!!I knew the system restore wouldnt help but did it anyway , and it didnt help . Great after a year of collecting sites its all gone ,but never mind that . Any one have a any idea what could be wrong???

In "Start and Recovery", have you unchecked the box
under
System Failure
Automatically Restart
?
Does your System Event log show anything?

I don't think changing that parameter is a real solution to their problem !!!

Are you sure you have the latest drivers installed for all of your system components, especially the video driver.

Also, you should get the drive diagnostic software from your hard drive manufacturer and test your drive integrity.

You should also, probably get memtest and test the integrity of your system memory.

Good luck.

I didn't think that was a solution either.
Just hoping that instead of rebooting, they'd get a BSOD with some information that would help.;)
