PC problems

Hi all, few days ago i bought some new pc parts (cpu-E2200, mobo - DS4L, hdd - samsung 200gb, vga palit 8600gt and pqi 2gb ram). Ok, i have connected everyting right, but when i start pc it wont load, he just turns on but doesnt make any bios sound, screen is black... today i seen even bigger problem, its cpu overheating, when i turn on pc he shuts down after about 20seconds, if i instantly turn on him again he shuts down imediatly, cooler is just ridicilous HOT, i even cant touch him. I bought new termal paste, tried few times but it was almost the same. I just dont know what to do ant whats the problem whit heating and dont loading up :/ please help someone

I really enjoyed reading this.

Anyways, are you certain that you're seating the heatsink properly? Also, make sure you aren't using too much of the paste as it will hinder heat dissipation.

..him..

I didnt put too much paste.. I found this overheating problem, the problem is - ATX_12V i tryed to disconnect this cable and after that cpu started to work normal, it didnt overheated anymore 😵 In manuel it is writen that "If the 12V power connector is not connected, the computer will not start" Well for me it started but how i said nothing is hapining. Well its strange, if i connect this cable cpu overheats and pc shuts down, if i disconnect it pc turns on, but it has no chance to boot up 😀 :/ probably mobo is broken i cant think what els could be wrong

Considering it's an E2200, it shouldn't generate much heat in the first place. Unless somehow BIOS has somehow set the VCore way so high. If there's a way for you to even get in BIOS, quickly check CPU temp and CPU voltage.

Have you tried THIS method on applying your thermal paste?

No, there isnt a way to check bios :/ How i said pc just turns on, but nothings happens, screen doesnt get signal. Well i have one question, could it be that that Sinan 430W could be to weak for these parts? In manuak writes - "To meet expansion requirements, it is recomended that a power supply that can withstand high power consuption be used (400W or greater). If a power supply is used that does not provide the required power, the result can lead to an unstable or unbootable system" Probably these things wich happens whit my pc is called unbootable. Well my power is 430 but its some unknow brand, probably there could be much less W, but if there isnt enough W so should he turn on, becouse now he turns on but just nothing happens after that.

Do you mean ejecting mobo batery? I tried it, but i removed and then puted back in when all pc parts (cpu, vga, ram..) were conected, ofcorse power was off, maybe i should done it whit removing all parts from motherboard?

Sounds to that you have to do the "process of elimination" technique. Do you have extra hardware that will be compatable with your new rig? If so, start with the Ram, (if you have 2 x 1gb). Try using 1 stick first.

Even with a 400W PSU, you shouldn't have problems getting the boot-up screen and enter BIOS. Mm... have you tried clearing CMOS?

Yes, have you?

How i said i tryed to clear CMOS, didnt helped. I dont have extra hardware, just few old HDD, other parts (vga, ram..) is too old to put them in this mobo.

Hi again. Finally i found the problem, its motherboard (DS4L), not only it was not working it even damaged my cpu 😵 Now i will have to buy new mobo and cpu.. its the last time i bought gigabyte, big waste of time and money on this mobo ://

p.s. thx to all who tryed to help

Ugh, malfunctioning mobo, probably that would be the last thing on the list to suspect. Sorry to hear you lost the CPU along with the mobo, better luck next time.
