PC PROBE ALARM! Voltage spike from 1.52 to 1.6V

Or am I being to demanding of a Turbo-Cool 510W SLI. My alarm is set to 6% fluctuation, and it hits 1.6V several times a day. Is my PSU burning out, or is that within reason.

It is a software reading. My guess is the actual voltage is not doing that. According to CPU-z and others my Vcore bounces around quite a bit, but actual measurements with a DMM prove otherwise (also prove that my board pumps about 0.06V more than the bios is set to).

Yeah, you want to allow for 10% error on software readings... As was said, measure with a DMM (digital multiMeter) to find out how far off your software readings are.

thx guys I have one in the mail!

BTW, I understand the discrepancy between software and direct readings, but I always notice it on idle, when basically nothing is happening. I mean, should the Vcore really bump even a little? Something must be triggering the software, even if it is not totally accurate.

It looks as if my X1900 has be destroyed as well. That's the 4th major component that has died on me, and I'm only using my PC P&C 510 unit now. I thought these were supposed to be the most reliable PSUs on the market! How could a problem with a secondary 12V PSU kill my main unit?
