Ive been looking at alot of reviews now and decided on the enermax noisetaker because tomshardware like it so much and for me at least are usually very good.

But now i see that the PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 510 SLI is nvidia certified and alot of people really like it... plus its all the way sleeved! which is a huge plus for me but kind of want uv blue sleeving so its auctally not much of a plus.

I really cant decided and yes i know what google is... help!?

God thats a huge price difference. Normally I would say PC P&C but that is just too much for a PSU IMO.

For cleaner power (might help o/c), get the PC&C
For lower noise, get the Enermax
Both of them are more than enough for you rig.

Go for the PCP&C, when your gonna be spending that much you may as well go for the best :). However the 510 is very noisy.

Or a PowerStream 600, thats always a good choice.

well i just bought 2 120mm l1a panaflos and a nexus 120mm and will be spending 450 on a DD watercooling kit so quiet is VERY important to me for some reason all the sudden...

doesnt mean i cant void the warrenty and put in some panaflos...

im not worried about price flexy...

i really like preformance of the PC&C but for some reason i keep leaning towards the enermax... maybe its toms hardware...

I'm biased towards Enermax products, but from what I've heard Seasonics are an excellent choice as well.

I can't even tell my Seasonic 430watt in on over the sound of the retail fan on my A64. It's unbelievable quiet.

I have the PCP&C and it is hardly audible. I don't know where they get this reputation for being loud as mine is definetely not. With that said, get the PCP&C, there is none better!

I have 17 PC Power and Cooling PSUs, as I've used them since '91, including the $240 Turbo-Cool 510 SLI. Second to none. 4.99v 3.31v, 12.01v. 22mv ripple.

I prefer my Seasonic S12-600 over it though.

edit: counted em all. 17.

damnit now i cant decide even more... im thinking of replacing the 80mm fan in the enermax with a panaflo l1a and the 90mm with a thermatake or something quiet....
i need to be convinced rather than just what you have.

Im not that interested in seasonic...

If you are on a mission to quiet your computer without giving up airflow, a Seasonic PSU should be the first item on your purchase list. Simple as that.

Don't take our word for it. Go to Silent PC Review as Ribbon mentioned, and read their PSU noise testing methodology and what they recommend.

HTH.

If you want good solid power that will probably last you long after everything else in your PC dies (or to the end of the world, which ever comes LAST); get the PCP&C Turbo-Cool SLI. Keep in mind it's not a quiet power supply, but it is hands down the most stable power supply on the market.

If you want a quiet power supply with adequate power for your exisiting build and probably your next build; get the Enermax.

Although the PCP&C Silencer is quiet, it's just a rebadged SPI/FSP with little modification from PCP&C. Although it's a VERY good power supply, I'd still do the Enermax over it.

IMHO, it's not a tough decision.

PCP&C if you want good quaility for those high end components......personally though i would go with the OCZ power or ModStream.....
Ive had problems with the quality of enermax products in the past few years, fan controllers, fans...ect....gow ith the PCP&C

I have a question about those though...if i were to build a SLI machine, i wouldnt need a nvidia SLI certified PSU, just another moler-to-PCI-E adapter, correct???

Yeah, which should come with most video cards. And it would have to support that kind of power output too. High-end gpus can draw 6A a piece.

Hmmm, Ferrari or Lamborghini? Lambo, definitely! Both are more than adequate.
