PC Power & Cooling ad - misleading?

Everybody knows that PC Power & Cooling makes high quality power supplies, but at their website I found what appears to be amisleading comparison between one of their 450W supplies and a competitor's product. From that picture, what is your impression of the competitor's 450W supply?

Well, they're not actually comparing it to a specific competitor, and whats shown probably isn't to far off what you would find inside an average no-name, el cheapo power supply. It's a small exageration but what do you expect on their own website?

Yeah, PC Power & Cooling's power supplies are superb, and so are a number of other companies such as Enermax, HEC, Antec, etc. But cheapo's can get MUCH worse than that one, I should know, I was the one that had to replace 15 300W power supplies that were returned because they burned out after 5 days of use. Big corporate contract. Ouch. We just used the included power supplies, we replaced them all with 300W HEC's, haven't heard from them since.

The problem with the ad is that PC Power & Cooling compares their 450W supply to a competitor's 250-300W supply, which is utterly unfair.

It's like nVidia trying to compare a GF3 with a Radeon - never gonna happen. PCP&C make great products - we know this, but not everyone else does, so they try to b.s. their way into people's heads. I've done enough marketing crap to know that's a simple marketing ploy

The other supply looks almost exactly like the King Case Industrial (AKA King Star) 250W supply that I have, only it has an on/off switch. It seems to perform decently but lacks any 120VAC surge filter (as can be seen from the photo - notice empty area behind large capacitors on right), and the circuit board on top (probably for 5V standby output) is secured with just one screw to the heatsink and can easily swivel (extra screw with spacer can be added), something I don't want with a board that has high voltage on it.

I have one and they are great.
The picture is only trying to replicate what a good power supply has that a cheapo one dosen't.
I had an Antec in mine and could only oc/my 1 gig to 1.340 stable with it.
Went with the Turbo cool power supply and now get 1.430 stable, it will do 1.450 stable also.
It seems the voltage regulation is much better on their power supplies.
I would not even hesitate to buy another one for my next system.
Tear the cover off some 300w power supplies and find out for yourself, I did and was I surprised what I saw, the picture is correct in alot of ways.
