Was looking for perhaps the cheapest, but still decent, PSU that could power three GTX460 cards, plus an FX 8120 overclocked, along with the rest of the rig (drives, mobo, etc).

This is the cheapest PSU listed at MC that has six PCI-E power plugs.

It also has a 7-year warranty, according to MC's site.

Who makes this PSU? Is this a "true" PC P&C, or an OCZ model?

$130 AR for that PSU is not bad at all. It's the same price in newegg. It used to cost $250 upon release. I'd grab it

The mkII's are nothing more than rebadged OCZ's (sirtec build). The silencer series and mkIII's are seasonic builds and are true pc power and cooling units.

There is nothing wrong with the mkII, but you may be able to find a better unit for the price (although the 6 6pins makes it tough).
EDIT: And here is a better choice.

$169.99, $15 off w/ promo code EMCNJGJ33, ends 2/6 and there is a $20 rebate.
So, $134.99 after rebate. A little more than the one at MC. CWT made. Not sure if they are good or bad. But it is a 80+ gold and received great reviews. Personally, this would be my choice.
