PC not reconizing my external HDD???

I have a external HDD converted to external. I formatted it as fat32 because some idiot said I need to convert it to fat32 for a mac pc to reconize it. But someone else told me that you dont' have to do that. Now I want to format back to NTFS but my pc isn't recognizing my HDD. I'm using USB to connect to my pc. My current os i'm using is winxp s/2. Originally I had it as NTFS and had no problems.

Seagate 300gb.

Download the free HD utility from Seagate, make the bootable floppy or CD, boot to it and see if the utility can find it while attached with USB.

If not, you'll have to remove the drive from the external enclosure, mount it inside your PC and go from there.

Just mount it in your PC and perform a quick NTFS format. It really is the simplest solution.
