PC not recognizing camera

Plugging an A20 into a PC without Canon's software, the camera doesn't show up on the computer. IS there program or function that can be used to correct this?
 
I assume this is connecting by usb?

Did you try the Add Hardware from the control panel. Also try it in different usb slots.
