Pc not detecting sata drive

I have a sata drive with a bad xp install on it and im trying to connect it to xfer some information. The problem is that my pc doesnt see it in my computer. Im running a kv8 max3

Do you have the sata drivers installed for your own comptuer?

I wish I had a sata drive... then I'd have some ideas maybe

So you have other sata drives and they're working?
I know this is blatantly obvious (but I've done it before)... power cable plugged in?

Its dead. Drive isnt spinning. RIP Seagate
