Hey there folks,

I recently sent back a ram stick (PC in sig) because I would be getting all kinds of weird freezes etc and I just assumed it was that second stick as PC would boot and act just fine without it in there.

Today I finally had to check my suspicion...and I think it might be the board that's at fault, unless I'm terribly stupid right now.

If the ram is in the first slot (A1) I can boot without problems and I also pass Memtest86 without any problems.
Right now I only have 1 module and I was about to order another(They actually refunded the ram even though they said they found nothing wrong with it)...so I figured I might try putting my current stick that is working fine in slot B1 -> ITX board, only got 2 slots.

The PC won't even make any noise, monitor won't turn on...aka, it doesn't boot. The fans spin, but that's it.
A PC would usually at least boot even if A1 was not populated by a ram, right? (Of course with a module in B1)
I'm not just being derpy here and it seems like I have to send back that board....right? (Aish, can't wait to be without that cube for like 6 weeks straight...Asrock aren't the fastest)

So, I managed to get it to boot with the module in B1.

Started memtest and let it run...checked back after half an hour and it would just sit there at like 53%...turns out it actually froze during memtest.

Tried rebooting into bios...the bios froze.

Putting it back into A1 fixes everything, I guess I really do have a broken slot.
