raidmax 420watt psu
80 IDE HD

i just reformated
everything is seated properly and it froze 2 times when i tried to go into the nvidia control panel


and for some reason i am sorta feeling a bit more noise from the case , like humming sound .

Did it work before reformatting, or is it a new machine?

no its been doing it for a while and this is maybe my 5-6th reformat
but i dont know what else it could be , or what to do

Is it just the nvidia control panel that freezes up?

Is the graphics card fan running and free of dust?

Can you complete a gaming benchmark without artifacts or crashes?

i reseated the video card , blew any dust that was there.
but i also noticed that the video card and hardrive and 1 fan were sharing the same power cable
the psu is a raidmax scorpio 420 watt ( not the greatest thing to use)
so i changed it so the video card has its own power cable by itself

the pc seems to run smoother
no crashes yet and doesnt crash when i leave the pc on idle

What about when you go to the nvidia control pannel? Does it not freeze anymore?
