I have a P4 - 2.5GHz PC with 9800 PRO and 512MB RDRAM (detailed specs in my sig).
I usually leave my PC on 24/7. Today when i tried to 'wake' my PC it didnt work. My screen (DVI-D connection to Dell FP2001) remained blank. At first i though my LCD was screwed but as soon as i unplug the DVi-D cable it does the self diagnostic and it runs fine.
Next i thought that my video card might be dead but then i noticed that every time i reboot i dont get the 'beep' that sounds when ever my system boots up and also hitting 'reset' button doesnt reset the computer (i have to switch it on/off). So may be something other than my vid card is messed up.
How do i find out what part of my PC is damaged?
