I really need a new pair of headphones for my PC. This is mostly for gaming (I have have HD-580s for music).

I happen to have about $60 in amazon gift certificates. Could you guys recommend both a headset with mic, and a pair of headphones? I'm not sure if I'll get one with a mic yet - I prefer to have my headphones plugged into my speakers and the mic plugged into the back of the computer. Something that comfortably fits over my glasses would be great.

Thanks

Bump.

I'm looking for a decent gamer headset for around $50 (analog or USB). Reliability is more important than sound quality. I'm sick and tired of Logitechs that last 1 year before crapping out.

I recommend getting a quality headphone and a Zalman clip-on mic for less than $10.

I agree, you already have a good set of headphones.

After trying about 10 different pairs of headsets...to be honest they just dont stack up to some good headphones.

I dont even use a clip on mic, just a set of good headphones (right now I have some sennheiser 595s and some bose around ears) and a desktop mic (I use the logitech USB Desktop mic).

works like a charm :)
