I have setup a dual monitor PC and when it goes to sleep it woke wake up. Wont even boot back up if I pull the plug until I take out and reseated the vid card? Its winXP SP2 Vid card is Jaton mx4000 Vid Card. the Mb has an onboard Vid but its disabled in the bios.

I've had several issues similar to this with a laptop and desktop using multiple monitor configs and found that driver changing didn't help but what did ultimately solve the problem in both cases was going into the control panel and under power options setting "standby" to -never, and "hibernate" to -never. Now the monitors go to sleep but the computer stays awake and a simple mouse move brings everything back up. Hope this is of some help in your situation.

Your power supply might be too weak. I have a similar problem, but it happens during boot. I usually don't get display from my dual monitors during a cold boot. I have a better chance of getting display if it's a warm boot. Someone suggested that the reason for this is because the disks and other mechanics are already moving during a warm boot so there's enough power for other areas of the machine. A weak power supply might not be able to supply enough power to the entire machine during a cold boot because more power is being demanded. I don't know how accurate this information is but it makes sense and seems to be true in my case.

It seems like it might be true in your case as well because a sleeping computer is pretty close to a cold boot.

I'm not entirely sure on this, after you've done what others suggested, go into the BIOS and see if the options for waking up the computer from hibernation and standby are enabled.

Some boards even require you to set some jumbers for them to wake out of hibernation properly. Check the manual.

But I agree with the others, sounds like a psu issue.
