PC goes off but the cpu is on and music playing

Hello Everyone,

I am facing a problem with my PC,

My monitor goes off after some time of usage but the cpu is on and the music is being played in the background, when i turn off the monitor and turn it back on again it gives the display back again

After like every 5 mins the display goes off and i have to turn the monitor off and on again.

Please give me your valuable suggestions

My config is
Lg Flatron w1943c monitor
i3-4130 processor
Gigabyte MOBO
8gb (4x2) ddr3 vengeance ram
1 tb hdd
hd7770 graphic card
cooler master 450w psu

Where to check that ? I would like to add one more thing Sir my monitor was working fine day before yesterday, since yesterday it has started giving problem

and As right now I m typing the mesg the screen is going off and i have to restart the monitor, and one strange thing is that i can type the mesg when the screen is off , it still accepts words i am typing and when i turn the monitor back again i can see all the words i have typed
 
Control panel > Hardware and Sound > Power settings
Since it just started happening, it may be your video cable or, the monitor itself.

just wanted to be sure whether it was the monitor or any part from the cpu

i'll try to arrange for another monitor and check the issue
 
Yaa my monitor went bad, i jus checked with a different monitor and its working fine !
guess its time to buy a new one !
