I am going to be buying this list of games here in a few days, does anyone have anything good to say about them or has anyone here played them ?

When I buy games, I usually buy them in lot's. If this lot is good, I can get the entire list for $100 shipped. Which I think is worth it if they are good. I watched reviews but hard for me to base my decision on those alone.

The list:

Mass Effect
SWAT 4 (Gold Edition)
The Witcher
World in Conflict (Complete Edition)
Soldier of Fortune Payback
Fallout 3
Company of Heroes (Gold Edition)
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call Of Duty World At War

Tomb Raider Underworld
Not that great. I played it on 360 and it gave me a headache :(
Frontlines Fuel of War
Lackluster singleplayer, multiplayer isn't as good as something like Battlefield 2
BlackSite Area 51
Never played
Command & Conquer 4
Never played
Mass Effect
You could probably get this for $10 as a digital download from occasional sales but anyway, AMAZING GAME!
SWAT 4 (Gold Edition)
Ah, the memories...Not sure how much this is worth but it is kind of fun. Sorry if that doesn't help ahhaah but its fun to play with friends.
The Witcher
Original or Enhanced Edition? Great RPG!
World in Conflict (Complete Edition)
I haven't played this so much but if you really dig multiplayer RTS then it can get pretty fun and hectic
Soldier of Fortune Payback
Never played
Painkiller Resurrection
Never played
Red faction: Guerilla
If you have a good rig, this game can look pretty good. VERY fun but it might get stale after you beat the game.
Fallout 3
GOTY Edition? Oblivion with guns, that is all. Very good though!
Company of Heroes (Gold Edition)
Absolutely phenomenal RTS!
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Meh
Call Of Duty World At War
Pretty good.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2
FILLED WITH CHEATERS
Call Of Duty World At War
Command & Conquer 4

See above.

your list is pretty good, but skip:
Frontlines Fuel of War
BlackSite Area 51
Command and Conquer 4.

Otherwise, it's good.

You have a pretty narrow definition of "good" if you exclude games like Fallout 3, Red Faction:Guerilla and SWAT 4. The latter was a great co-op game before L4D even existed.

There are quite a few worthwhile games on that list, and it's definitely worth $100.

Tomb Raider Underworld - Dont know

Frontlines Fuel of War - I have this from a steam deal, mediocre metacritic, havent played it

BlackSite Area 51 - Dont know

Command & Conquer 4 - Absolute trash, do not bother with this abomination of a game

Mass Effect - Amazing game, very cool storyline!

SWAT 4 (Gold Edition) - Dont know

The Witcher - Worth a playthrough

World in Conflict (Complete Edition) - This is cool once you get used to the weird way of moving the screen

Soldier of Fortune Payback - Dont know

Painkiller Resurrection - Dont know

Red faction: Guerilla - Decent game, its like GTA meets the total recall movie, worth a playthrough

Fallout 3 - Great game, decent enough story, the gameplay and missions will keep anyone entertained for a long time, very cool stuff!

Company of Heroes (Gold Edition) - The best strategy game since starcraft! Very fun online once you learn the ropes and learn the ins and outs of the community which dosent take all that long.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 - Biggest entertainment launch in history apparently... it dosent show tbh, decent game, not worthy of the hype, maybe worth a playthrough, multiplayer is quite fun

Call Of Duty World At War - No idea... COD4 with japs i gather, never played it.

Command & Conquer 4 - Like i said before, trash! :)

Painkiller Resurrection - crap

Mass Effect - Very good game that is a must buy (And can be found cheap)
The Witcher - Awesome game that I recommend if you are a big RPG fan with a bit of patience (takes a little while to get into the game fully)
Fallout 3 - Pretty good game that I'd recommend buying

I haven't played the rest (I don't really care for first person shooters)

The ones I've tried:

Tomb Raider Underworld If it's cheap enough
BlackSite Area 51 No
Mass Effect Yes
Fallout 3 Yes, try and get a deal with all the addons as well.
Company of Heroes (Gold Edition) Yes.

Mass Effect and Fallout 3 are worth it. Haven't played most of the Others, but COD:MW2 should wait for the Bargain Bin IMO. That said I haven't tried MW2 in Multiplayer, so it might be worth it.

Are you getting these of Ebay or something? Word of caution, games like Modern Warfare 2 are already tied to a steam account the moment they are first installed. Meaning, you won't be able to activate them if they've already been played. Also, I'd agree that the list isn't bad, but you're better off cherry picking.

Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games. Definitely needs the Broken Steel DLC or the GOTY edition to thoroughly enjoy it.

Mass Effect -- Will definitely pick this one up.
The Witcher -- Must pickup here based on what I heard here.
Fallout 3 -- Pickup definitely.
Company of Heroes (Gold Edition) -- Getting this one as well.
World in Conflict (Complete Edition) -- Will pick this up as well.
SWAT 4 (Gold Edition) -- Kind of equal opinions here, will pick up and try out.

As for both Call Of Duty games, Modern Warfare 2 and World At War, I wouldn't play them online. Mostly single player if I got these. I am more of a single player guy than online.

Red faction: Guerilla -- Is this an RTS ? Or more of a shooter ?

Tomb Raider -- I have played Anniversary, Figured this would be better somewhat.

Frontlines Fuel of War -- Dad had this, seen about one level played. May hold off on this one.

BlackSite Area 51 -- I have the original Area 51, which I thought was fun in its time.

Command & Conquer 4 -- I have all the C@C's so far, figured this would be good. But the jury is in on it. So it's a no go.

Soldier of Fortune Payback -- Still deciding. I remember Double Helix wasn't bad. Kind of liked it.

Painkiller Resurrection -- I have Painkiller Triple Black set, so was wondering if this would be decent.

Oh, and I wouldn't mind picking up Grim Fandango as well. Played it before years and years ago. Tried recently and it would not run on XP Pro worth a shit. Was distorted and upside down.

Red Faction: Guerilla is kind of a shooter, its like GTA though in that its not linear and you can steal vehicles etc. I guess it would come under the "sandbox" genre.

Out of everything on that list, Fallout 3 is the best, and thats not saying much. RF:G is OK, if you just want open-ended violence and destruction.

Oh, wait. World in Conflict is fucking awesome. Thats the only game you need. Dump all the rest.

Mass Effect (also get ME2 sometime, it's even better than first IMO but you gotta play first it's fantastic) Fallout3, Company of Heroes, Witcher are the top games on the list. The rest are 'meh' play them if you want or have time but don't go out of your way to IMO.

Ya, 4 of them are from Amazon, but the others are not. :awe:

Although, after looking for the other titles I am wanting, they are a few bucks cheaper on Amazon as well.
