Hey guys im looking for any RPG PC games that are like Chrono Trigger or Breath of Fire in the sense that you have allies/team members and battle monsters through the game, but with PC graphics and not just pixelated stuff like PS1 graphics if you catch my drift.

Also my computer isn't going to be able to handle modern games like The Witcher 2 ( at the moment ) so maybe games from 2008 back

Thanks a lot

P.S I have played them on emulators but I just want a proper PC game like them to enjoy and i know Breath of Fire IV has a PC version but the graphics are terrible and the gameplay isnt the best compared to others in the series.

Hunt around for some emulators, they "can" improve graphics of those older games. j/s.

Only thing I can recall in terms of JRPG for the PC was Septerra Core, can't remember if it was any good but gog.com sells it now.

Console-style RPGs are console-style for a reason. They're almost entirely based on the consoles.

You might find an occasional port, but you're infinitely better off with an Xbox or PS3 if those are what you're after.

Yeah, as someone mentioned above, Septerra Core would fit the bill. And FF7. You can find better games though, if you deviate a bit from the jrpg style, like the baldur's gate series, or planescape torment, or arcanum. Or icewind dale.

emulators exist for PS and PS2, same with dreamcast, SNES, genesis, etc etc.

If you want to play JRPGs play it on a console. PCs are not known for their large selection of JRPGs.

If you're looking for the JRPG element, Oath in Felghana could be worth a look. It's a remake of SNES' Ys III ported to Steam in the past month--if you liked the original I highly suggest it. More of an action RPG, doesn't require an overly powerful computer.
