So long as your video card (or should I say chip?) isn't too slow.

in that case recommend something then, anything.

Deus Ex, if you don't already have it. Mafia is pretty awesome as well.

That lags more than even FEAR. If you're going to get it, at least buy the X-Box version.

UT2K4 runs on anything.

On any video card? Pretty much. On any CPU? Not at all. My friend has a PIII and an 8500 yet he can't even play it at lowest settings (that means 320x240) without having frame rates in the 10 region. Even on my Tbird it can be pretty sluggish with a high number of bots.

Knowing the graphics capability would help.

Any of the Jedi Knight/Jedi Academy games.
Rome: Total War, or Medieval: Total war.
Warcraft III. Serious Sam: First and Second Encounter. not #2
If you like multiplayer, you could try Counterstrike:Source, or Day of Defeat: Source.
Battlefield 2

If your graphics card is subpar, which I strongly suspect, you should look at lighter old but great games.

No One Lives Forever (good gameplay, great humor, old graphics but good artistry and character makes up for it)
Deus Ex (great gameplay, novel for it's day but still a classic that wears it's age well)
