When will we see the Black Friday for PC games? I guess that usually doesn't occur until the day. For example, Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 are on sale for the consoles, but not for the PC.

last couple of year steam has not been so great for sales; but amazon might have something wicked.

GoG and GMG have probably been better compared to steam the last couple of years, so always check the various sites. Amazon, too.

Steam is still a good place for sales, but I think the perception of it being crap these days mostly comes from all of us that have been benefiting from Steam sales for many years, so none of those great deals are really relevant if you already have the game.

Or, maybe it's just perception, but I think it is more or less true that newer games are getting better sales on GMG and GoG, for whatever reason. I know Steam doesn't really control the sale price, so I wonder how the same game is sold at much lower prices on one site compared to others. One reason for this, I guess, is that CDProject uses GoG as their "official" distribution platform (in the US, anyway), so they are likely to get better sales there with their games, as I think they did with W3 release.

Speaking of--will we see No Man's Sky for ~$5? Can't wait! :D

Black friday sucks. And the black friday deals are now covered over several days. I never see anything of real value at a price that makes me pull my wallet out. Black Friday used to be awesome but now it is just not the same.

Cyber Monday is when you want to look for PC games. However, history has shown that you will find the best deals on Steam during the winter sale in late December. If there's a game you really want but don't want to spend full price, check out CDKeys, Amazon, GoG, GMG, etc. starting on Black Friday and every day until Cyber Monday. Last year CDKeys did a promotional "Early Cyber Monday" sale on Sunday evening and I was able to snag a few games for about $10 each (normally $50+ per game).
