so theres a wii @ home. family members doing wii fit.

I mainly a PC gamer , i dont even have much time for all the games i have , COH online, Bad company 2, world in conflict , GTAIV , Stories from Liberty City, list goes on...
but i wanna start doing some wii action and i have only played mario party 8 and Rayman for Wii.

i know you can play some gamecube games and idk if SNES games, for the moment i have no plans of modding it , but i wanted to come here to get some suggestions on games i should get for it.

edit: i guess it would be silly to play FPS on it

Why play PC style games on the Wii? Use your gaming machine for those and just stick to the more Wii themed games on the Wii.

If you like FPS, you'd probably get some enjoyment out of Metroid Prime Trilogy (if you can still find a copy).

I've heard good things about Red Steel 2, but haven't tried that yet (but I've got a copy on its way). It does require the MotionPlus adapter, though.

Other shooters that come to mind for the Wii are The Conduit and Dead Space: Extraction (which I believe is on-rails).

Should probably just look for folks' opinions on the best Wii games overall, strike out those which are available on other platforms, and play the rest.
If I had a Wii, I'd personally start with Trauma Center, Resident Evil 4 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

Boom Blox Bash Party is awesome for family play. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are excellent as well. Tiger Woods Golf with the WM+ attachment is rather enjoyable as well.

In my opinion the Wii is the best console to have to complement a gaming PC. The 360 and PS3 games mostly attempt to mirror the PC game experience while the Wii does not so you get a really nice change of scenery with the Wii if you're used to playing tons of shooters and RTS.

Great Wii games(prepare for lots of Nintendo):

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Mario Kart Wii
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
New Play Control Pikmin
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Resident Evil 4 Wii(if you haven't played it before the Wii has the best version)
Okami
World of Goo(Wiiware)
Cave Story(Wiiware)

I'll second the New Super Mario Bros Wii recommendation. It's a superb platformer with old school Super Mario Bros gameplay. It also has 4-player co-op that is an absolute blast... though be warned that it actually gets very difficult with more people playing! Adds to the fun though.

yeah , thats what im saying that it would be weird to plays fps, of course i have my pc for fps.

what i need is NON-FPS games

As already said Boom Blox is awesome sauce, and I'd say Madworld is better than any PS3 or Xbox360 game out there. It's one of the most fun console game I've played since the Genesis days. And it's one of the most over the top violent games I've ever played. Which totally kills the "Wii only has kiddie games!" argument you see a lot on here.

I agree, lol.

Thirded. 🙂

My wife begged and pleaded for a Wii last Christmas. I told her that she would get it, play it for a couple of weeks, and probably rarely touch it after that. She told me I was wrong and continued begging for it. I bought her the Wii, Wii Fit, Mario Kart, Just Dance, an extra controller, and some battery packs for Xmas.

Want to guess who was right? If you said IndyColtsFan's prediction was correct, you would be right! She played it for a few weeks, we played it at our New Years party (the most play it ever received), and then it basically sat collecting dust except for the extremely rare use. I bought her Harry Potter Lego since she loves Harry Potter and I wanted her to use the Wii more. She played it for a few hours and hasn't touched it since.

The sad thing is that our house is the "entertainment center" for our group of friends and even still, she never plays it when all her friends are over. REALLY irritating.
