Specs in sig.

The last two days i've been experiencing random freezes. Its happend while watching a video, playing games, and listening to mp3s. The screen will freeze, and make a continuous "beeeeeeep" sound through the speakers.

Right now the PC won't start back up again, and nothing will come up on the monitor at all when I do try starting it. I don't think it's due to an overheating CPU (my Opteron 165 is @ 2.4ghz), because it "should" at least post. My guess is the problem is mobo, or PSU.

Suggestions?

I had the same problem with a Chaintech NF3 board last year and it was the motherboard.

Well after swapping all the parts it looks like it's a mobo problem. So, after some research, and much debate I ordered the Asus A8N SLI Premium (non-32). I was having a hard time debating if I really needed to spend an extra 30$ on the 16x mobos even though the performance gains are very very marginal. I'm kind of upset the price of the non-32 Premium board hasn't changed much in the past year despite the introduction of the A8N32. I'm also upset at the fact that ZZF no longer has free 2-day ship :(

I heard that the Asus A8N boards have issues running Samsung UCCC chips properly, especially the GSkill HZ PC4000 ram, which is what I have. Apparantly, there's problems of it not being able to hit 250mhz properly. Looks like i'll be buying some OCZ later if I have issues OCing my ram.
