Especially during gaming. However, that in and of itself is not consistent. For example, the past few days, i've been able to play games hours on end with nothing happening, but yesterday I can't go 10 minutes in, without my computer completely shutting on me. This has been an issue for me since I bought the parts and assembled the PC about a month ago. Would this be a CPU/heatsink/thermal paste issue? I run my CPU at stock speeds with a aftermarket heat sink, so the temps are pretty low according to RealTemp. The thermal paste used was pre-applied to the cpu cooler I bought. And also, this crashing issue has happened to me suddenly, a few times, when the computer was pretty much at idle (I was surfing the web).
When it crashes, it use to attempt to reboot itself immediately, and I get the blue screen, however now, nothing. I have to reset the switch to my PSU to power on the computer again.
My PC parts:
i5 4670k
MSI Z-87 G55
Corsair H75 CPU cooler
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB (2x4)
Corsair RM 750 PSU
MSI Twin Frozr GTX 780
Crucial M500 240GB SSD
