ive tried WIN98SE and WINME
both have same problem

Someone said it might be a ram problem. Can i somehow diagnose the ram and see if its erroneous ? Is there any software that will let me do that ? Other then buying new ram to test it out that is.

try checking for heat problems, and then test your ram with memtest....free download at www.memtest86.com Be careful, though, because memtest takes FOREVER. If you run full tests, it takes over a day, at least on my system. VERY comprehensive, though
