PC Freezes, can't even reset (H67 + G620)

People, I am completely baffled here. Let's see if anyone can help me figure out the culprit of this little crime.

First of all I'll list the components used in the build, which is 2 days old.
1 - Intel pentium G620
2 - Foxconn H67S

...and that's it, everything else (HDD, RAM, PSU, ODD) I have replaced with 1 or 2 options while troubleshooting.

I built the same exact PC a week ago for a friend, an that one works great.

I'll describe the actual problem. Anything that causes the IGD on the G620 to actually accelerate anything, freezes the pc.
It completely freezes, the caps-lock light on the keyboard stops responding, the reset button or jumping the pins on the mobo achieves nothing, only possible option is hard-off (5 sec button/pins) or pulling the cable from the PSU (any of the three i've tried)

I've tried clean installs for the past 2 days. With just Windows 7 (x86 and x64) and with no driver at all, no problem.
As soon as I install the intel HD driver the problems start, if I try to actually use them that is, with e.g. furmark.

I've tried every driver I got my hands on the Intel site and Foxconn site.
Tried updating the Bios, no dice.

I even tried and old XP disc I had laying around. It didn't freeze with XP, but furmark was throwing 1 frame every 2 or 3 seconds even at 400x300, which is slower than mi gma950 netbook; conclussion, it's not actually using de IGD on the G620; so that's why it doesn't freeze. (My assumption of course)

I have replaced the Mother with another one (same model) and the problem persists. I RMAed the first one, which I now believe was fine...

Does anybody have any ideas? I'm thinking the G620 is to blame here, but would surely appreciate any input.

Bad luck with your Intel pentium G620.

Seems to me you got a processor that should have been binned with the graphics die shut off.

I would first contact wherever you bought it and see if you can get a replacement, if that dont work then next step is contact Intel about it. It certainly falls under the warranty.

The only thing else you could try to trouble shoot is take your friends G620 and drop it in your Foxcon just to verify that it is indeed the processor and not the mobo.

Just bad luck :|

@Epsilon-Zero

That's what I thought. I can't really try my friends G620, it would be too much trouble for me, and more for him.

I'm picking up my g620 replacement in a few hours, will post with any news, or hopefully a resolution.

Ok... I really don't know what to do.
I've just installed the new g620. Same problem. Can't use the IGD or it freezes...
That basically rules everything out, i've changed absolutely everything and the problem still exists...
Does anybody has any idea as to what I can do know?

Well, it sems fixed now. Wasn't the CPU or the MOBO per say. Updated to latest BIOS (Which I had already done...) and now it doesn't freeze.

Before it would freeze the moment an opengl o d3d app tried to do anything, even WinSat froze. Now I was able to do a standard bench of furmark without any trouble and could maximize/minimze XBMC without a hitch.

I'm crossing my fingers hoping this is the end of it.

Will post again to confirm or reject this conclussion.

Well, I think I can confirm the problem is fixed.

The pc has been working happily for hours now without a problem.

Crappy BIOS was the cause.
Hope this helps somebody.
