PC freezes after boot screen

I restarted my computer and after the bios/boot screen hangs on this screen:

I reset the bios and I do not know what else to do. Thanks!

Remove all but one stick of memory, remove any expansion cards or extra drives other than those needed to boot and give it a try.

Thanks for your help guys. I realized it was the USB Flash Drive that was plugged in that caused it to hang (Doh!) But unfortunately, I did not realize this until after I unplugged everything and took out the MB battery.

Oh well, at least its back now. Thanks again for your inputs!

sounds like a defective unit if it locks up the pc like that.
