PC firewall recommedation

YES! You definately need a firewall. You probably want one that's easy to use an configurable, I recommend atguard (tucows has it probably). A lot of people use blackice, but I think blackice is irritating because it's too agressive about stuff that isn't dangerous. Atguard has rules and when something goes in or out it lets you create a rule to block or let it through.

You absolutely need a firewall. Period.

I concur on the recommendation for ZoneAlarm. I actually paid $49 for BlackIce and used that for a few months with my DSL connection. It works but why shell out the money when you can download ZoneAlarm for free. That's what I'm using now and I'm very pleased with it.

Also, go to Shields Up to learn more about internet security. It has information on how to configure your computer to stop it from leaking out information...

Thanks all, installed Zone Alarm, looks easy and works too. Went to a site and it was going to send me a file and "ZA" warned me of it and gave me the IP, cool. A friend turned me on to Shields up, thanks again.
