pc fighting games. not even 1???

Perhaps... but there isn't enough demand for them to box up copies and put them on shelves. Who wants to sit with friends infront of a computer display when for about $100, you can get a console and play it infront of your TV.
 
There's more demand that you may think.
Not only that,there's a huge demand. A lot of people want those games,but nothing is out there. I don't know where you can to such conclusion that people don't want to play it by themselves.

Not really. They started porting fighting games to the PC some time ago- they didn't sell likely largely due to the fact that PCs flat out suck for fighting games. On a couch with your buddies in front of a big TV is the only way to go for fighters(if you agree with that or not, that is what hundreds of millions of dollars tell the publishers).
 
There are a few but they're just ports of console releases, a few from the Guilty Gear series and MK4. I don't really see the point in releasing them on PC though. Yeah there may be a few people who own a PC and not an Xbox or PS2, but there are far more people that own a console and don't game on the PC. It'd probably cost them more to port all the games than they'd make from actual sales. The only reason I'd ever buy the PC version of a fighting game over its console counterpart is if there was free online play, and that'll never happen because LIVE is probably the main source of income for MS.

It'd only work for certain 3D fighters too, most 2D fighters are done in 6x4 some are even done in 3x2, and they look like pure sh!t on PC monitors. And with the ability to easily patch the games, the gameplay would be constantly changing as new bugs were found and fixed. Glitches and infinites are half the fun in fighters.
 
I have every Neo Geo fighting game ever made on my PC, and with visual effects not available in the original version....fighting game heaven!
 
Yeah - I remember a port of Super Street Fighter X for the PC - ran like crap on my computer with only one joypad available, I might add . . ..

Don't play DOA on the XBOX 360 you'll be disappointed because they do just what your describing.
