pc doing weird thingss

hey, right now i recently reformatted my pc, did all the drives and stuff all windows updates, but one night i was downloading tRO, and all of a sudden i see my internet rates going from 175kb/sec down to 30kb/sec, im not sure what happened, but my internet just started fcking up, is it my pc or the server i was downloading from? and also, i realized that the next day, today, i was checking the bottom right icons, next to the clock
some items are like discolored, and not looking the way it was before, im not really sure what happened,
but any advice or help would be appreciated

im running, winxp home sp1
norton 02 full retail version,
microsoft antispyware proggy (beta1)
zone alarm pro.

You could go back to a restore point before these problems started to happen. Also, you may want to run a spyware cleaner and a virus check because they might be draining your connection speed.
