pc doing weird things

i installed windows mce 2days ago for my 360 so i can view movie files etc on my tv

now for the 2nd time i left my pc to dl over nite and in the morning when i turn on the monitor
my downloading program is shut off and today when i went to shut my pc down i got a message saying
Other users are still connected to this pc etc
and my mouse was turned off
am i being hacked into or something?
