Pc doesn't shut down fan power

Hi:

I have windows 7 x64 ultimate and GA-X58A-UD7 rev 1.0

I noticed that on shut down windows shuts down completely, monitor goes off, but my pc case sill has power with fans spinning.

I enabled " allow windows to turn off this device to save power" on all usb hubs in device manager, but i don't have power management tab to do so for my ieee1394 host controller (however i don't have any firewire devices connected). The tab is just not there... I think this might be the culprit...

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Never personally came across this problem, but I'd imagine if you really shut down Windows, then it has no ability to control anything. It would all be down to the motherboard and the BIOS (unless I am much mistaken). If its in sleep mode then Windows might be doing it. But I'd poke around in the BIOS first.

What fan(s) are going? CPU, GPU, case ones? something else?

Get the newest firmware for motherboard. Do all windows updates. Try if this helps.
