I recently plugged my HTPC in my living room to a Plasma screen.
After solving the problems I had with connecting it to the screen, I'm encountering yet another problem:
Now, after shutting off the computer, when I start it again it doesn't show anything. I tried everything but I inevitably had to reset the BIOS (took the back-up battery out for few secs). And then it does work but I need to re-set all my preferences in the BIOS again.
I rather not reset the BIOS each time I need to turn on the computer
Only thing I could think of is that the first time this happened I had disconnected an external HD while the computer was off and then turned it on without the HD connected.
But I took measures and last time I "safely removed hardware" and only then shut down the computer. Still, turned it on now and nothing.
I also have the Corsair memory with the LED's on top, and they are not working properly (only few LED's do and only on one stick). So first time I thought the CPU/RAM is fried, but I reset the BIOS with the backup battery and it's all good again.
I'm running Windows 2000Pro.
Here are the computer's specs:

Can anybody tie this to something?
THANKS!
