Pc does not power up at first try.

Hello all.

Lately, when I turn on my psu switch then go to turn on the pc it would not start. A few minutes have to pass and then I can start the pc just fine. If I shutdown the pc and try to turn it on it starts immediately. It only happens when I turn off the pc for like half an hour or more.

Do you think the psu is failing and if yes should I change it immediately?

It's possible, What PSU do you have and how long have you had it?

Hehe. I have this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817194004 . I had it since.... 2006 maybe 2005. It never gave me a problem until now maybe.

Sounds like bad CAPs.
I would replace the PSU.

None of those links work. It's most likely bad capacitors.

Well, I did replace it now. I got a evga supernova G2 750w. Thank you all.
