PC disables internet connectivity

My PC is connected to my Linksys router directly using an Ethernet cable and when the PC is switched on the internet gets disabled. This causes my other WiFi connections to shut down too. I've solved it temporarily by restarting the DHCP client and DNS services everytime this happens. I need a permanent solution for this. Thanks.
 
Someone else having a similar problem seems to have solved it by enabling ErP in their BIOS. Might not do anything, but its worth a shot.
