PC Dilemma

I AM HAVING A LITTLE DILEMMA WITH DECIDING ON WHAT PARTS I SHOULD BUY TO BUILD ME A NEW COMPUTER.

heres what i brought so far: logitech wireless lx700 keyboard and mouse, creative labs sound blaster live 24 bit sound card, nec black floppy drive, nec black ide dvd burner double layer, logitech x530 5.1 70 w surround sound speakers and aspire x-navigator black and blue aluminum case 500 Watts power supply


now i need advice on the rest of the parts:

processor ( i am stickin with AMD and willing to spend no more then $550) i ws thinkin on athlon64 4000

motherboard (i will to spend no more then 200) i was thinkin on asus sli motherboard

memory (i will to spend no more then 200) i was thinkin dual channel 2 GB

video card (i willing to spend no more then 550) i was thinkin on either gforce 6800 ultra or waitin for the next generation cards but i dodnt know when they coming out

lcd monitor ( i willing to spend no more then 350)

hard drive (willin to spend no more then 150) i was think of a sata drive


any advice would be appreciate and i willin to be flexible with the money if it is really worth it

From my understanding, people seem to agree that you should go with a 3700+ San Diego, and save some money on the processor and put that towards your video card. Although I did just see you mentioned you want 2 GB ram for less then $200, that may be tough unless you get some value ram, which I'm unable to recommend as I am not as familiar with ram as others are.

If overclocking the general posters here will suggest the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR

Now for video card, it depends on how patient you are or if you really want to have this system started asap. The first thing I was thinking was you could get a 6800 Ultra now, and get another one in a few months or even a year and probably have state of the art performance easily.

Better then the Dell LCD.
