Hi. I just built a new PC. Its an E6600 with 2GB PC6400. I noticed using CPU-Z that my CPU cores, which should be running at 2.4Ghz are running at 1.7Ghz.

Also, when the computer is starting up it is telling me my RAM is in single channel mode when I know I set it up for dual channel.

I used to use software that would tell me some of these things. I thought CPU-Z had it all but it doesn't :) .

So, what I need is:

- Software that will show me how much my PC is throttling if at all (I doubt it, its running at 24 degrees, but when I start to speed it up I'll need it).
- Something to tell me if my RAM is running in Dual Channel.
- Something to identify my bottlenecks.
- Something to test my memory.

I was looking at the Rightmark tools and I think they have everything I need except something to show me if my PC is throttling.

What do the pro's on these boards use? I'm talking about free tools, to be clear.

Thanks in advance!

Mine tells me this in the POST

People here should be able to tell you
- Something to test my memory.

Ah, ok. Yeah, and I saw that CPU-Z does show dual channel or otherwise.

As for it being in the post, I get about a 3rd of a second to read the post message so its hard to see but I do see it in single channel.
