PC config question..

Need some advice. I've been pricing out a new DELL system using their Online Cnfigurator, and I am stuck on a configuration issue. I plan on including DVD as a feature on my new system, but I notice that they list standalone DVD ROM, or DVD for Nvidia GeForce 2MX. If I go with DVD for Nvidia 2MX, does this mean that the DVD Rom is dependant on the video card? In other words, will I ever be able to upgrade to a new video card, or am I stuck with the Nvidia 2MX?

No, it really means nothing. Honestly; if you order a DVD-ROM, or a DVD-ROM for Nvidia MX, they're both the exact same friggin' item. They might install different software, but that's about it.

And to answer your other question, your DVD-ROM is not dependant on your video card, and you will be able to upgrade either item or both independantly of each other.
