PC Club First Annual Case Modification Contest

PCClub

Junior Member
This is our first time doing such a contest and we hope everyone would like it. Not to take too much space here, but there are lots of prizes and no entry fees.

For more information:

PC Club Case Mod Rules and Info

Thank you for your time. Please spread the word.

we do.....

thanks for the info

Cases and Cooling has its regulars.... not as much as General Hardware or Off Topic... give it time... people will show

EDIT: Holly Hella Crap.... those are some nice prizes.... makes me bust my ass to get my case modding done 😀

Yep you are in the right place, I have an Apex A1313302 and will submit it. I am not done but maybe ill win somthing. BTW would PC Club be willing to sponsor websites with hardware for review? I live in Orange County, CA and have been to your Santa Ana location before

GRR!

2 things stopping me:

1) must be a modification based on a case PC Club carries
2) All winners of this contest must bring their cases to a PC Club location for case verification

Gah! I'm in the same boat as bbarnes! I have a casemod using an Apex Supercase midtower, but I dont see that particular model on your site. Also, there are no PC Club stores near me (Utica/Rome NY)

I am glad you like the prizes. One of our forum member who does case mods helped us pick them so we though you all may like. 🙂

The case mods need to be based on those cases that we carry or have carried. Some of the prizes are sponsor supported so it is by their request.

SMP, I guess Canada would be out, unless you want to travel all the way to a PC Club location to pick up the prize. 😉

I will ask about the InWin Q500. Will PM you with the answer.

Super sorry for those people who aren't near one of our store locations. We are expanding still so maybe another time...

sounds more like a thread to promote/sell your goods...

are you a subscriber? if not their ad is shown above every now and then.... and really... who cares... this is a free contest... sure you have to abide by their rules.... no need to knock the man

PCClub: Thanks for bringing this contest to our attention.

I have essentially the same question as MoFunk. (You're probably going to get this alot) In my case though (pun intended) the question is: has PCCLub ever carried the Enlight line, specifically Enlight's 7237?

It's a free contest. It is also our first contest of this sort so we will learn from this too and maybe change the rules for next time.

Here's what I got as an update regarding eligible case. Most Inwin cases are OK (including Q500). Nope on Enlight cases though.

I guess I can't enter with my Antec KS-282 case since I didn't see u guys selling those.

I wish PC club would make exceptions if we have receipts for hardware that is IN our computer. also.... PCClub, might I request that there be a list of cases that are eligible because there arn't many cases on that website. Maybe a list of brand names that you've carried?

I will try to get a list of cases that are eligible. It is kind of tough since there are lots of manufacturers.

It's been a long time since I've been in a PC Club (there's one about 5 miles away)... Do you guys even carry any of the "cool" stuff we demand? 😀 The last time I went to the local PC Club, there were tons of generic crap and whatnot. I think it'd be great if all the PC Clubs could be converted into stores that carried the latest and greatest hardware without the long shipping time of online retailers... but I doubt that will ever happen 🙁

We try to carry more "cool" stuff. I mean we are stocking more types of HSF as well as some case mod stuff. Basically we are changing and it might not be like what it was like when you were there before. I mean, when is the last time you heard of us having a Case Mod contest? 🙂

well..hmmm..Im looking at your site right now to see what type of cases you sell...and honestly...I dont see much...all i see are cases made by Apex ,generics, raditronics, ever case, CG,(never heard of ANY of these) and a few more Popular brands such as Enermax, In Win, and 1 single Coolermaster...why dont you carry cases that are seriously Mod-able..like the Antec 1040/1030..I happen to have a pretty sweet Antec 1040B with a window mod, neon, EL cable...but cant join your contest..cuz you guys dont sell Antec...

I didnt mean this to come off sounding like im jerk...im not...its just that with those rules, I doubt it will be a very big contest...I wish you the best...

check out my case mods with the link below.

Well, I just walked into the PC Club in Santa Clarita today to see what's up 🙂 Messy as ever 😛 They did have some AMD XP's (1900 and 2000), but I didn't check the price 😀 Some P4's too. Rambus, DDR, and some MSI/Asus mobos. Again, I didn't check the price. A crystal orb for $30 caught my eye, being marked up almost x2 :Q The cases available were laughable, and the only Antec on display was in a demo workstation, not even modded. I did see one modded case, and all it was was a purple case with an 80mm blowhole in the front bezel, lol.

Upside of my visit: They have AATE for $8 and AS3 too 😉 Also had some nice video cards for some not-so-nice prices.

New addition to the allowed cases:
Antec model 1030 case

Supposely they were used when we had a shortage of Enermax 710 so they are allowed for the contest.

Good luck! 🙂
