I recently purchased a copy of Trend Micro's PC-Cillin Internet Security 2005 from NewEgg.com. I submitted my rebate along with all the items specified on the rebate form. Several weeks later I received a notice, from TrendMicro, stating that the rebate would not be honored since I failed to provide an original valid UPC. I checked my scanned copy of the rebate form and nowhere does it mention a UPC as a requirment. Besides, NewEgg shipped it with the disk and manual in shrinkwrap anyway, there was no retail box so I doubt there was ever a UPC. And even if there was a box, I would have thrown out by now anyway. Has this happened to anyone else? If so how did it resolve?
Here's a link to the rebate form if anyone is interested, did I miss something?
