I have Pc-cillin 2002, and it put about 4 GIGABYTES of data files(an example vss9afuf.001, which is 300 MB) on my hard drive. I'm assuming these are binary virus definition files, but do I really need ALL of them? Four gigs just seems ridiculas to me.
Another problem, EVERY DAY pc-cillins firewall logs dozens of hacking attemps such as code red, nimda, smurf, or regular netbios browsing. They are coming from all different sources, but most of the serious ones come from atnt/comcast broadband clients(the same ISP I have)
Has anyone heard of someone getting many erroneous hacking log entries, or am I on some hacking sites shiess list?
