PC Card Card Reader?

I am looking for a good, reliable, PC Card Card Reader. It does not have to be a 358-in-1. I pretty much only need to read SD cards.

I am going to use this in my Dell Inspiron 4150 to transfer pictures from various cameras to the laptop during a 3-week trip overseas (hence, the need for reliability!)

Any suggestions?

Thanks, but that is a portable reader. I am looking for a PC Card (PCMCIA) card reader.

do you have an isa slot? i have an old pcmcia setup that fits in a floppy drive, but the card is isa. it worked good the last time i used it 😀
 
no, it was an isa card that plugged into a m/b, and then you connected the pcmcia reader that went into a floppy drive bay to it by what looked like a 50pin scsi cable
 
I recommend any reader/writer (PCMCIA) by SanDisk.Example:

Personally, I would prefer USB, not PCcard/PCMCIA - because that slot on my laptop is reserved for my wireless air connect card. 🙂

Both my PC Card slots are empty and I prefer a solution that I do not have to keep track of while traveling.

No, that was only an illustration. I do, however respect this vendor, and the price is better - the user reviews are good.

I understand - you have two slots - I only have one. But, my USB reader/writer is right in the zipper pocket of my laptop case.

Well, I thought I had bought the SanDisk 😉

I ordered the SanDisk SDDR-65-07 but, instead, I got a Buffalo MCR-05. I called the company and they are willing to let me exchange it (they were just out of the SanDisks that day and tossed in the Buffalo instead!), but I do not like the idea of having to wait another week or two for this if I do not have to. BTW, I am told that the SanDisk and Buffalo both sell for the same price.

Does anyone have any experience with the Buffalo MCR-05?

Should I just do the exchange?
