PC can not boot up..

I'm facing a problem as my PC can not boot up.

- When booting the PC, it will turn to auto stand-by
- this happened when after load bios will happen.
- not even go in windows also.
- already test, not related to harddisk.
- try refresh bios - reset bios and flash bios - still same
- last try - remove battery and plug in back ~ result monitor without display - just blinking light at the on / off button there.

Please advise..

Thanks for the prompt reply, really appreciate it.

It is not a newly build PC, it's been quite sometime already. I will try reseating the grphic card and see how.

Make sure you have your speakers on and turned up, and turn the computer on again, see if you hear the windows intro just to verify that it is in fact not loading.

If you do hear the windows intro, try disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor cable
and see if that helps.

I was having a similar problem yesterday. The computer would post......go into the Windows XP loading screen...............and then the monitor would go blank and end up in standby mode.

I was able to boot in Safe Mode..........I then uninstalled (using add/remove) the nVidia driver and rebooted........what do you know the computer booted fine. I then used Driver Cleaner to remove any nVidia left overs and reinstalled the latest nVidia video driver (for my 6600GT) The computer is working fine again.
