OKay, I'm upgrading my computer and this is what I'm getting:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

-herehere

RAM: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ

-herehere

MB: ASUS P5N32-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

-herehere

HD: Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

-herehere

I guess what I want to know is if they are all compatible with each other, and if they will work for Windows Vista, with a fair amount of speed for gaming.
Any thoughts would be nice! Thanks.

I'm upgrading, so I don't need a case, PSU, GPU, or other things like that.

get 4GB RAM, given that memory is so cheap now. It's worth it even if your 32bit Vista can't use them all.

Are you running an SLI config? If not you're prob better off with a regular, Intel chipset mobo ( any is fine unless you OC). Save the cash and upgrade your GPU or HD.

loshen,

Welcome to the forum!

Please don't buy the "Open Box" version of the mobo - you don't know why it's an open box, but probably a returned item. Pay a little more and get the retail version.

As for compatibility, most RAM will work OK in 2GB; if you get 4GB, make sure ASUS has the make and timings, etc compatible with the mobo you buy. Check that board on their web site, maybe download the manual and look up the RAM section to check. Some mobos are sensitive to RAM, more so when it's 4GB...

EDIT: Not sure about anything with Vista, I don't use it...

Okay, thanks! I am going to do SLI soon, so I will keep that MB, but I'll buy a retail. I already have a nice video card (well, nice enough, anyways) and a larger HD.

Thanks.
