PC boots into "safe mode", help please

Here is what I did. I built a NEW pc, and was having problems with the HD, on the new pc. Both pc's have epox mbs. The "older" pc has and 8kta3, and the newer one has the 8kh2+. I took out the hd from the old pc, and put it in the new pc, to see if the "newest" hd was the problem. (That was the problem, I had a bad HD, brand new) I took out the hd from the newest pc, and put it back into the older pc, and now it boots into "safemode". I've tried pressing F8 when the pc boots, but that doesn't seem to work.

How can I fix this?

Thank you for your time.

also when you shut down from safe mode are you just pressing restart button or actually shutting down? and also does the boot complete into safe mode or do you stop it prior to fully loading? try rebooting from the start bar (my answer isn't nearly as technical as jfunk's 😉 )
/edit, finished reading your entire post, now my answer doesn't seem correct at all, jfunk's should work.
