The CEP426152 ran like a champ and can give the best aftermarket coolers (i.e. Swiftech MCX478) a run for its money. Its copper core helps make it a very good cooling solution and upgrade to the stock Intel cooler. However, it also uses a proprietary mounting method and its fan is a bit louder. Overall this cooler has good potential and should it reach production, will help the serious overclocker push their P4 a little farther.

Nice find, Adul.

However, I'm not digging the mounting method. I don't like the whole "backplane" idea...and those "studs" that the HS fits over look mighty flimsy to me. I am, however, a fair-minded man, so I'll say this:

The mounting method is very similar to the originator of the thru-mobo design: Alpha. A logical (or overly optimistic) man would say "well, they must've researched Alpha's way and then improved it and come up with this."

I don't know...what do the rest of you think?

impressive heatsink .... but i think is not as good as alpha 8942 heatsink. alpha is really quiet if you put on a panaflo or vantec fan on it.

that heatsink would be just as quiet if you used the same fans
