one of the most drawing factors of console gaming is the price, it's a whole lot easier to go buy a $200 piece of equipment that you can hook up to a preexisting tv and play high graphics intense games on it, then buying a $700+ pc, and monitor, and a bunch of peripherals to play the same games.
The main reason that it is so much cheaper is the hardware, a gaming console is spacifically made to play games, it's operating system is made with games in mind, every thing about it is all about games, where with a pc it has a whole lot more then games in mind, which means that a bunch of 10 year old hardware can play games of the like of crysis 2 (mind you, at lowered settings). so I was wondering is it possible to take a cheap 2-3 year old pc and format it or put some program into it to make it a dedicated gaming pc that runs pretty much anything at a good enough setting, like a suppued up version of an Xbox or a ps3.
