I personally think it is one of the most amazing shows on television.Scientists and engineers take ancient technology(like the obelisks in Egypt) and try to figure out how they made the object and how in the world they built or erected it. It is truly awesome when you think that some of this stuff was built thousands of years ago, with no use of computers or modern machinery. Then you watch these guys really struggle on how to get the thing built. My favorite one is the seige engine that they had two teams competing to build. They built a castle wall(using the same mortar mixture as in the timeframe)and built two catapults,on the shores of Loch Ness, and launched them at the wall. This is some real neat stuff. Check it out here. .

the one where they built the catapult and the tribuchet was cool. they shot each one at the wall, and the tribuchet demolished while the catapult wasn't very effective. it was great!

Edit: Wanted to add that I loved the Easter Island one :)

I've only seen the siege engine and obelisk one.I've also seen a small part of the Roman baths episode. I would really like to catch the Chinese bamboo bridge episode, though. Hell, my wife was wondering what I was watching one night and had me Tivo the damn thing so she could see it again(the obelisk one) These shows are fascinating to me. Hopefully Nova will make some more in the future.

I have seen them all. Good series. The one on Easter Island has the woman I want to smack down for her attitude.
